Photoshoot ahead of the 2019 World Women's Championship
03.04.2019
The senior Russian women's national team participated in an official photoshoot ahead of the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Finland.
Following the photoshoot, some of the players trained on the ice, while others worked out in the gym.
Russia W defender Anna Shibanova:
- This is our fourth day in Espoo, and so far, we've had the one training session to get a feel for the ice. We also had a friendly match against the Czech Republic. In that game, we didn't fully follow the coach's game plan, and only one of our forwards scored. That isn't good enough. I like the arena, it's large and modern. Everything which you need is here. Did I expect to be named team captain? No! It was something unexpected. This year, we have already beaten Switzerland, but we know that this match will be completely different.
