Reaction after beating Japan at the 2019 Winter Universiade
03.03.2019
Russian student national team forwards Maxim Dzhioshvili, Vyacheslav Shevchenko and Yegor Morozov shared their opinions on the 10:1 victory against Japan at the 2019 Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk.
Russian student national team forward Maxim Dzhioshvili:
- The previous game was difficult, but today, we managed to take advantage of the opportunities which came our way. We had analysed how Japan play and they don't have a weak team. For my goal, I managed to skate away from the opposing defensemen, something which I've always wanted to do. There's a great atmosphere at the Winter Universiade.
Russian student national team forward Vyacheslav Shevchenko:
- I scored two goals today, but I need to continue improving. I know that I can play better, but the nerves are getting the better of me. I've been playing in Krasnoyarsk for a year and I like the atmosphere here.
Russian student national team forward Yegor Morozov:
- We played well today and managed to take advantage of the opportunities which came our way. We play an aggressive style of ice hockey with lots of shos from any position on the ice. There aren't any weak opponents at this competition.
