The under 18 Russian women's national team fell 1:5 to Canada in the third match of the 2019 IIHF World W18 Championship group stage.
Elizaveta Shkalyova scored the only Russian goal in the third period, but despite that marker, Canada ran out 5:1 winners after initially opening up a 3:0 lead in the opening period.
Sitting in third position of Group A, Russia will play against the second placed team of Group B in the quarter-finals.
