Friendly match. Russia U20 - USA U20

On Thursday evening, the under 20 Russian national team will take on the USA in another friendly match ahead of the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.

The players trained in these following lines in preparation for the match:

Goalkeepers: Miftakhov, Kochetkov, Tarasov.
Whites: Samorukov, Romanov - Denisenko, Kravtsov, Kostin.
Blues: Alexeev, Olshanskiy - Yaremchuk, Shen, Starkov.
Reds: Kalabushkin, Volkov - Muranov, Galimov, Slepets, Podkolzin.
Greens: Rubinchik, Valitov - Marchenko, Iv. Morozov, Shashkov.
Oranges: Il. Morozov, Zhuravlyov - Chekhovich, Khovanov, Kovalenko.

Forward Artyom Nikolaev did not participate in the training session after receiving an injury in a collision with an opponent in the exhibition game against Sweden.

Russia U20 head coach Valery Bragin:

- Against Sweden, a lot of tactical things didn't please me. In the first period, we played well, but that can't be said for the second and third periods. The guys haven't played for a long time and the need time to get used to playing with each other. We have analysed the previous game, explained to the players which changes need to be made, and we hope to see an improvement against the USA.
