Russia U20 have started training in Canada

Ahead of the upcoming 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship, the under 20 Russian national team have started training in Canada.

The players trained in these following lines:

Goalkeepers: Kochetkov, Miftakhov, Tarasov.
Whites: Zhuravlyov, Olshanskiy - Starkov, Shen, Yaremchuk.
Blues: Valitov, Rubinchik - Muranov, Galimov, Slepets.
Reds: Romanov, Il. Morozov - Denisenko, Kravtsov, Kovalenko.
Greens: Kalabushkin, Volkov - Marchenko, Iv. Morozov, Nikolaev.
Oranges: Samorukov - Chekhovich, Khovanov, Shashkov.

Defenseman Alexander Alexeev and forward Klim Kostin, who are also in the roster for 2019 World Junior Championship preparation, will join the team later. Forward Vasily Podkolzin, who has just represented the under 18 Russian national team, will join Russia U20 for this training camp in Canada. 30 players are fighting for 23 spots on the tournament roster.

These are the three friendly matches planned:

December 19, Russia - Sweden, 04:00 MSK;
December 21, Russia - USA, 04:00 MSK;
December 24, Russia - Switzerland, 03:30 MSK.
