Yearly IIHF congress

Between May 17-19, the IIHF's yearly congress will take place in Copenhagen in coordination with the ongoing 2018 World Championship. RIHF president Vladislav Tretiak, who is a member of the IIHF board of directors, will take part in the event. The RIHF delegate will be comprised of first vice-president Roman Rotenberg and executive director Dmitry Kurbatov.
Among the topics up for discussion are reports for the World Championship and Olympic Games which took place in Denmark and South Korea respectively, the ratification of urgent decisions made by the council and the admission to the IIHF of new associations. Also, applications for the hosting of the 2022 World Championship will be analysed.
In September, Russia's bid to host the 2023 World Junior Championship in Saint Petersburg will be considered.
The budget for the upcoming season will also be finalised and possible changes to the regulations and codex will be looked at.
