Alexei Zhamnov: "Igor Shestyorkin will play against Slovakia"

14.05.2018
Ahead of playing Slovakia at the 2018 World Championship in Denmark, the senior Russian national team trained in these following lines:

Goalkeepers: Koshechkin, Shestyorkin, Sorokin.

Reds: Gavrikov, Kiselevich - Gusev, Datsyuk, Kaprizov.

Whites: Nesterov, Zaitsev - Grigorenko, Anisimov, Dadonov.

Blues: Yakovlev, Bereglazov - Soshnikov, Andronov, Mamin, Shalunov.

Yellows: Tryamkin - Barabanov, Kablukov, Mikheev, Buchnevich.

Senior coach of the Russian national team Alexei Zhamnov:

- Sergei Andronov has a small lower body injury, so he will miss this match and get ready for the upcoming games. Dinar Khafizullin will also sit this one out, although he is ready to return. Igor Shestyorkin will start between the pipes. Slovakia are one of the tournament's outsiders? I wouldn't say that. Look at the Germany-Finland match yesterday, any game can be unpredictable. The Slovaks played well against Sweden and we understand that we have to win. Yesterday, the majority of the guys trained in the hotel, physically there aren't any problems.
