2018 World Championship. Belarus - Russia. A statistical round-up

Not conceding a goal for 180 consecutive minutes at the start of the World Championship, the Russian national team have set a new record. The previous best was 139 minutes and 47 seconds in the 1983 World Championship. However, the overall record for amount of time without goals conceded is 201 minutes and 50 seconds.

Scoring two goals at the age of 39 years, 9 months and 17 days, Pavel Datsyuk netted the oldest double scored by a Russian ice hockey player at the World Championship. Sergei Mozyakin's record of being 35 years, 1 month and 22 days old when scoring twice against the USA twice in the 2016 World Championship has now been beaten.

In 121 Russian national team appearances, captain Pavel Datsyuk has scored 30 goals. In five matches against Belarus, he's taken eight (4+4) points, making him Russia's top scorer against the Belarusians.

On his full World Championship debut, goalkeeper Igor Shestyorkin recorded a shutout.

Nikita Zaitsev has 11 (2+9) points from 50 Russian national team matches.

Artyom Anisimov has participated in 40 World Championship games, registering 15 (5+10) points.

From 25 Russia games, fellow forward Maxim Shalunov boasts 10 (8+2) points.

25 of Evgeny Dadonov's 41 Russian national team assists have come at World Championships.

Kirill Kaprizov already has 25 (17+8) in just 21 national team matches.

Ilya Kablukov grabbed his first World Championship goal and Nikita Tryamkin earned his maiden assist at the competition.
