Pavel Buchnevich and Alexei Kruchinin speak after beating the Czech Republic

Russian national team forward Pavel Buchnevich:

- When you only score one goal in five consecutive matches, you begin to lose confidence. It's hard to win with only the one marker, so we will start scoring three or four fr om now on. This is the second match for me with Vladimir Tkachyov and we are improving with every match. He is a clever player and I know where to find him on the ice. Hopefully, he will start scoring goals too. If we would have lost six straight games ahead of the World Championship, the pressure would have been a lot bigger. We won and I think that we all have positive emotions now. During my time in North America, I have learnt to be calmer after losing matches.

Russian national team forward Alexei Kruchinin:

- It was important for us to taste that winning feeling again, we had lost it during the past few matches. We need to keep these positive emotions moving forward to the World Championship. Did I think about this being my last chance to make the World Championship roster? Probably, but I tried not to think about that. If you concentrate on those things, nothing will go well. All of our coaches are telling us wh ere to improve. I am trying to enjoy being with the senior national team, I am gaining experience and continuing to develop as a player.
