Oleg Bratash: "It's nice to win the ALROSA Cup again"
28.04.2018
Russian Olympic team head coach Oleg Bratash:
- I wouldn't say that we had an advantage in the first period, we simply took advantage of our goalscoring chances. The opponents forced us into doing a lot of defending. Having played against a strong opponent, the victory is even more important. Mikhail Maltsev and Andrei Altybarmakyan came here after the VHL final, they strengthened our team well. We also had tired guys in our team, especially after playing two matches in as many games. Did Igor Efimov, one of our coaches, advise us to take them? No, we planned for them to play here, but we had hoped that their VHL final was going to finish earlier. I don't know if any of these players will get promoted to the senior team, that's not my job. It's nice to win the ALROSA Cup in Saint Petersburg again, all opponents were strong. I would like to thank the tournament's organisers and sponsors, everything was at the top level.
