Exhibition game. Russia U18 - Sweden U18 - 4:1

In a friendly match before the 2018 World Championship, the under 18 Russian national team defeated Sweden 4:1.

Forward Dmitry Zavgorodniy was on superb form in the opening frame, scoring twice to give Russia a 2:0 advantage. Alexander Zhabreev and Kirill Marchenko later hit the target, extending the lead to 4:0.

Sweden did get on the scoreboard in the closing stages, but Russia U18 held on to the winning score!

According to an agreement between the two teams, an overtime period and penalty shootout also took place. Alexander Zhabreev scored in the extra frame, before Sweden won the shootout 3:1.
