Report conference of the federal centre for training young players
30.03.2018
Yesterday, the all-Russian reporting conference of the federal centre for ice hockey development took place at the Russian Ministry of Sports. The topic was key performance indicators when training young players.
Heads of regional organisations in the field of physical culture and sport participated, including leaders of all-Russian sporting federations and specialists from the Russian Ministry of Sports.
The conference's participants became familiar with the Red Machine Ice Hockey Development Program, which was presented by chief of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's department for youth ice hockey Alfira Kamaletdinova.
Director of the federal training centre for young players:
- With the global competition increasing on the international sporting arena, bigger requirements are needed for the quality of training young players who will eventually play for the national team. This implies that we should constantly undertake active work in the fields of physical culture and sport, searching for new ways of coaching talented young players and introducing modern technology to the training process. We must upgrade the material which we use, leading in coaches being more qualified and providing more anti-doping and scientific support.
At the conference, reports on how to improve Russian championships and the transition to a normative per capita financing system were heard.
Deputy Russian Sports Minister Sergei Kosilov positvely rated the work of the federal training centres and wished specialists to keep on working at the same level.
