Vladislav Tretyak attended the 2016 MHL Challenge Cup

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation's president Vladislav Tretyak attended the annual MHL Challenge Cup, a single match held between the league's top players:

- The Challenge Cup is being held in Nizhnekamsk for a reason. The Tatarstan Republic are developing hockey rapidly, and we can see this today. The MHL All-Star Game is in a true hockey town, and the players want to show what they are capable of. We can be proud of our young players, and they perform successfully at junior and major world championships. I am sure that this match will not be like a friendly - the teams will play intense, physical hockey and everything associated with junior hockey.
