The initial roster of the U18 Russian national team for the World Championship

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation can now announce the youth national team’s roster for the World Championship. The tournament will take place in Grand Forks between the 14th and 24th of April.
Goaltenders: Maxim Zhukov (Lokomotiv), Daniil Tarasov (Salavat Yulaev).
Defensemen: Alexander Alexeev (SKA-Serebryanie Lvy), Veniamin Baranov (Dynamo Saint Petersburg), Dmitry Zaitsev (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights), Mikhail Kozlov (Lokomotiv), Alexander Osin, Mark Rubinchik (both Dynamo Moscow), Alexei Rarov, Dmitry Samorukov (both CSKA Moscow), Mikhil Sergachyov (Windsor Spitfire).
Forwards: Vitaly Abramov (Gatineau Olympiques), Yaroslav Alexeev, Mikhail Bitsadze, Pavel Dyomin, Klim Kostin, Alexei Lipanov, Ivan Chekhovich (all Dynamo M), Andrei Grishakov (Traktor), Ivan Kozlov (Lokomotiv), Vladimir Kuznetsov (Acadie-Bathurst Titan), Daniil Lobanov, Alexei Statsenko (both CSKA), Kirill Maximov (Saginaw Spirit), Maxim Marushev, Andrei Svechnikov (both Ak Bars), German Poddubniy (Philadelphia Junior Flyers).

On the 8th of April, the team will fly to the USA for further training in preparation for the World Championship.
