In memory of Alexander Ragulin

On the 5th of May 2020, famous Soviet ice hockey defenseman Alexander Ragulin would have turned 79 years old.

During his career, Alexander stood out from his other competitors. He became known as a passing expert, and was a fantastic reader of the game. Also, you had to do something really special in order to annoy Alexander - he wasn't a fan of on-ice fighting.

Three time Olympic champion, ten time world champion, nine time European and USSR champion, five time winner of the USSR Cup, won the European Champions Cup on a number of occasions
Best defenseman of the 1966 World Championship
Played for Khimik Moscow, Khimik Voskresensk and CSKA Moscow
Member of the international hall of fame since 1997, entered the Russian equivalent in 2004
Died on the 17th of November 2004
