An IIHF international coaching symposium

Between the 13th and 15th of May, a coaching symposium will be held inside the Sokolniki hotel in Moscow. The event has been organized by the IIHF and the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.

The featured topics will be the role of a head coach as a leader of the team, key tendencies of modern ice hockey and specialties of modern training processes.

These following figures will feature at the symposium:

IIHF president Rene Fasel, RIHF president Vladislav Tretyak, honoured coaches Boris Mayorov and Vladimir Yurzinov, AHL, NHL and KHL champion Mike Keenan, Gold Olympic medalist Darius Kasparaitis, world champion Alexei Yashin, Jokerit head coach Erkka Westerlund, Frolunda head coach Roger Ronnberg, Russian champion Alexander Khavanov, ZSC Lions Zurich head coach Mark Crawford, conditioning coach of HC Dinamo Minsk Vladislav Zankovets, Frolunda psychological coach John Johansson, Red Bull Salzburg head coach Hannu Nykvist, HC Sibir general manager Kirill Fastovsky, and general manager of HC Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk Sergei Nemchinov.

You can apply for accreditation until 20:00 on the 13th of May. The event will begin at 09:45 on the 14th of May, and at 10:00 on the 15th.
