Liga Stavok National Team Tour. Russia - Belarus - 2:4

The Russian national team came up short in the second match of the Liga Stavok National Team Tour, conceding a 2:4 loss to Belarus in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The Belarusians immediately took control of proceedings.

It only took the opponents five minutes to strike first, before they subsequently extended their advantage to three with two further markers in the second stanza.

Nevertheless, the Russians showed character in the third frame.

Vladimir Grudinin's firm attempt got our team back into the game with 16 minutes left to play. Danil Aimurzin had the final say with a late PP marker, however Belarus had already reinstated their three-goal lead and consequently saw the game out with minimal fuss.

The series will now move to Tolyatti for a pair of matches against the same opponents next week.
