AKM reached the final four of the Euro-Asian Friendship Cup

Tashkent hosted the qualifying round of the Euro-Asian Friendship Cup, a traditional international tournament for club teams. The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by the General Director of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Dmitry Kurbatov and the legendary Vladimir Myshkin, an Olympic champion and six-time winner of the World Championship.

Four teams competed on the ice of the 12,500-seat Humo Arena: Humo (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), AKM (Tula, Russia), Brest (Republic of Belarus) and Arlan (Kokshetau, Republic of Kazakhstan). They were ranked in this order after the round robin tournament, following which Humo and AKM advanced to the Final Four, where their opponents will be Neftyanik (Almetevsk, Russia) and Metallurg-Zhlobin (Republic of Belarus).
