Activities of ice hockey agents

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF), in accordance with the Federal “On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation" Law, exercises control over the activities of ice hockey agents.

A Commission for the Accreditation of Ice Hockey Agents has been formed with the participation of representatives of the RIHF and the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

To work as an ice hockey agent, you must obtain accreditation in accordance with the regulations concerning the activities of ice hockey agents.

Working with unaccredited ice hockey agents entails sanctions - including fines and disqualifications - both for players and club employees.

The current list of accredited agents is posted on the website of the RIHF in the “Ice Hockey Agents” section.

If a violation is identified, the relevant materials are transferred to law enforcement agencies.

The RIHF constantly monitors the situation and notes the timeliness of the order of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin on the legislative consolidation of additional measures aimed at improving the activities of ice hockey agents. Taking into account the established practice, the RIHF is preparing its proposals to strengthen the responsibility of unscrupulous intermediaries who mislead athletes regarding the legality of their activities.

Currently, the Commission is preparing materials on LOVI GOL LLC, which offers agent services to ice hockey players without accreditation when there is a clear conflict of interest. This is a violation of the Regulations on the Activities of Ifce Hockey Agents and the Code of Ethics of the RIHF. Materials regarding two persons working without accreditation were transferred to the prosecutor's office.
