The RIHF extends its condolences

Former ice hockey player and coach Alexei Makarov sadly passed away on December 16th.
Makarov was born on the 25th of November 1941. As a defenseman, he won the USSR championship three times, making 380 appearances for Spartak Moscow and scoring 70 goals. He also played for the USSR national team, notably becoming a champion of the 1968 Winter Universiade.
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation extends its sincere condolences to Alexei's loved ones.
