Opening of a new ice rink in Chelyabinsk

President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak participated in the grand opening ceremony of an ice rink built on the territory of the Social Rehabilitation Centre for Youths in the Metallurgical District of Chelyabinsk.

This platform became the next step in the implementation of a large-scale project of the RIHF’s long-term partner Liga Stavok and the Constellation of Good charitable foundation.

Since 2017, Liga Stavok and the Constellation of Good foundation have supported youth sport, helped athletes of different generations in difficult life situations, and developed sporting infrastructure across various Russian regions. The joint corporate and social program is called the League of Good; the project is successfully developing in various directions, including the construction of rinks designed for ice hockey. At this moment in time, the League of Good program covers 26 regions of the Russian Federation.

The site was opened by the president of Liga Stavok Yuri Krasovsky. Also taking part in the ceremony were Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Vadim Evdokimov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sport of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexander Grib and representatives of the local administration.
