Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour. Russia 25 - Belarus - 2:1 OT

In the second of two planned games in Tula, Russia 25 edged past the senior Belarusian national team in a tight encounter, emerging victorious by a score of 2:1 in overtime.

Sergei Kuznetsov struck for the visitors in the 16th minute to give them the advantage. To their credit, the sturdy Belarusians with impressive goalkeeper Konstantin Shostak clung on for dear life until 17 minutes from time, when Maxim Fedotov hauled Russia level.

In the ensuing extra stanza, Vasily Glotov hit the jackpot for our team to secure the fifth win over Belarus in the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour.

Solid Russian goaltender Dmitry Nikolaev, who was making his competition debut, managed to stop 19 of the 20 shots he faced.

The series will continue on the 15th and 16th of May in Minsk, Belarus.
