World Hockey Challenge bronze medal match. Canada White - Russia U17

After losing to Canada Black in the World Hockey Challenge semi-finals, the under 17 Russian national team will now prepare to face Canada Black in the third place playoff.

It was a sad end to the hopes of winning the tournament yesterday, as a spirited effort wasn't enough to get beyond Canada White. Andrei Svechnikov netted a double, but in the eventual penalty shootout, the Canadians came out on top. 

Canada Black lost to the Swedes by the same margin in their semi-final. These two teams met in a pre-tournament friendly match, with Russia getting a 5:3 win.

The match will begin at 22.30 Moscow time. Match TV will broadcast live.
